Essentials every man should have in their wardrobe

Hello gentlemen! I hope you all are doing great... 

Today i am bringing you top 6 essential clothing items that every men should have in their wardrobe. 

Trust me guys if you don't have these essentials, your wardrobe is not complete..

This particular post is for all my friends out there who are in their mid-19s and 20s.

This is the time when you realise that you have literally nothing to wear.

This is because most of the people out there don't have basics. Basics does not always mean having solid colors. Basic means the most versatile clothing items which you can wear with every piece of your wardrobe. For eg. A flannel shirt is a basic but not solid, a dark washed blue denim is basic etc. etc. you can mix and match  a well fitted flannel shirt with chinos, jeans dress pants including sneakers, oxfords, monks etc.

The most common mistake which i see guys making in basically this age group(i also made this mistake) is that they usually spend their money in buying trends, casuals etc...

I am not saying their is anything wrong in that but before going for trends and ultra casuals you should check your wardrobe for these essentials that every men should have...

Let's get started...

1. Decent formal shirts

Office Shirts

Now the most essential item that every man should have is decent formal shirts...(yes its plural: SHIRTS). A person have atleast 2 office shirts and 1 dress shirt in their wardrobe

I personally believe that every men should have atleast two solid formal office shirts in their wardrobe..

My personal dearest are.... BLUE and WHITE. 

Dress Shirt

If you want to go specific you can go for a cut collar or a pointed collar depending upon your need. Me... i personally like cut collar, it makes me look edgy and shows off my tie.(I like wearing tie but its not necessary to wear)

About dress shirt... Most people usually confuse it with office shirts. Dress shirt is not basically for office, it is worn on black tie events, or with a suit (not business suit). It is the most formal event shirt.

2. A decent watch

A watch are you kidding me.. It's the most essential piece for a man to have...

Enhancing your manliness, your macho, your arrgh...

Alright, a watch as i believe is the most essential accessory for a man to have, it shows that you are punctual, it gives an illusion of bigger arms(and i assume that you know most girls out there not only notice your forearm but actually they draw conclusions about you just by your forearms.. I will talk about it in another post relating to what girls notice most in a man)..

Nothing in a man is sexier than a decent analogue dress watch on his wrist.

3. Solid T-shirts

White crew neck

Again we are not talking about a single t-shirt.. i am talking about plural. 

I know you must have a bunch of t-shirts with you including polos, v-necks, deep v-necks etc. But What are the most basic of them all, which every guy should possess in their wardrobe..

Black V-neck

According to me the most versatile and essential t-shirts are:

Two solid Crew Neck or V-neck(WHITE AND BLACK) THOSE ARE MY PERSONAL PICK AND I BELIEVE ARE MOST VERSATILE. Don't go with deep V-neck(personal opinion).

These can be worn with anything, you can pair them with jeans, chinos along with sneakers, monks or even boots. They can also be paired with overshirts.

If you have these crew necks or V-necks now you can go for polos. But again don't rush into any pattern, first have the basics, the solid polos then move to stripes, blocks, prints etc.

4. A Henley

Did you really thought this list can be complete without A HENLEY???

In terms of versatility, wearability, sexiness, this is the most essential and evergreen shirt. 

You can wear them with overshirts, jackets, sport jackets or alone 

Also they can be paired with chinos, jeans, pants alongwith sneakers, boots, monks

WHATEVER YOU WANT...

5. DARK WASH DENIM JEANS

OBVIOUSLY, HOW CAN I FORGET THE SOUL OF MAKIND.... JEANS
But we are not talking about rugged or faded jeans here... The main motive is to make a versatile wardrobe and what can be more versatile than dark wash blue denim or black or charcoal (BUT DARK WASH ONLY).

There are endless outfits with dark washed denims

There is nothing wrong with rugged or faded jeans but those are guided by trends, dark wash denims are basics, they can go with flannels, crew necks, henleys and who knows what....
A dark wash denim is an essential, its a neccessity for everyone of us. You can make any outfit with this one piece.
Now my personal most liked is charcoal grey coz its badass, but you can have your preferences..

6. A PAIR OF PANTS

LAST BUT CERTAINLY NOT THE LEAST..... A PAIR OF DECENT DRESS PANTS

Finally, you need a decent pair of dress pants. I don't think it needs to be told that why you need dress pants. Usually for a black tie event or office or interview... You can make your outfit with dress pant as your base layer. You can pair them with a dress shirt or office shirt or even a well fitted flannel to give it a semi-formal look. 

According to me, black dress pant can be more versatile than any other color but who knows what suits you. Go get a decent pair of dress pants which suits you, which fits you.

You already have all these, alright. Now you can go for trends, colors etc. Now you can go for varieties. These items are just listed to make your wardrobe versatile by basic as a layer of all your outfits. Now if you bring any piece of clothing you can mix and match it with any item listed above to make a sexy outfit. 

That's the power of having a versatile wardrobe. You can create as many outfits as you want because you possess all the basics you need.
